Dimitris Melachroinos is the Co-Founder and CEO of Spitogatos, Greece’s leading online real estate platform operating 15 property websites across 10 countries. What began as an evening hobby while working in London’s financial services has evolved into one of Greece’s most successful online businesses, serving over 10 million monthly users and connecting them with 1.5 million listings.

Melachroinos brings extensive experience from the financial sector, having served as Strategy Manager at Prudential UK & Europe, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions, corporate development, and bancassurance deals. His earlier career included roles as Stock Broker and Equity Analyst at National Securities in Athens. Under his leadership, Spitogatos became the first Greek online business to raise venture capital funding, securing €750,000 from Oxygen Capital in 2009. Since 2014, the company has been part of Real Web, which controls Italy’s leading real estate website, Immobiliare.it. Melachroinos holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship, Strategy, Finance, and Marketing from the University of Rochester, complemented by executive education from Harvard Business School and NYU Stern School of Business.
